- Local Storage: We use Local Storage to save your preferences (Theme, Semester, and Favorites) on your device. This data remains on your device and is not sent to our servers.
- Database: User metadata (verification status, email) is stored in our Databases for user registered to upload notes.

- To verify your eligibility to upload content (preventing spam).
- To attribute uploaded notes to the correct contributor (internally).
- To respond to support requests or takedown notices.

- To control access to the Service — only registered and verified users may view or download notes on ClassNotes.
