Takedown Policy

Purpose and Scope

ClassNotes hosts educational notes and materials collected from various contributors. We respect the intellectual property rights of all content creators. This policy provides a procedure for contributors who wish to request removal of their materials from the Service.

Takedown Request Requirements

To request removal of content, please send an email to notes@alokdasofficial.in with the subject line "Takedown Request" and include the following information:

Identification of the Material: The exact title of the note and the specific URL where it appears.
Proof of Ownership or Authorization: A statement that you are the original creator or authorized to act on behalf of the creator, along with any supporting evidence (e.g., original files with metadata, enrollment verification if applicable).
Contact Information: Your full name and email address.
Good Faith Statement: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the material identified above is not authorized by me, my agent, or the law."
Accuracy Statement: "The information in this notification is accurate, and I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner."

Our Response Procedure

Upon receiving a valid takedown request that meets the requirements above:

We will remove the identified content from the Service within 48 hours.
You will receive a confirmation email once the content has been removed.
The removed content will not be restored without your explicit permission.

Exclusive Remedy

By submitting a takedown request, you acknowledge that the removal of your content constitutes the primary remedy for any claims regarding the material. You agree not to pursue any additional legal action against the Service operator (Alok Das) regarding the removed content.

No Liability for Past Hosting

The operator assumes no liability for any period during which your content was hosted prior to submission of the takedown request. The Service acts as a neutral host and does not actively verify copyright status of uploaded content.

False Claims

Submitting a takedown request with knowingly false information may result in legal consequences. Please ensure all information provided is accurate.
